Flower-Shaped Illuminated Mirror by Ernest Igl for Hillebrand
Playful flower shaped backlit mirror. Though this mirror is somewhat reminiscent of the Stilnovo mirrors, this highly decorative piece was in fact designed by the Czech-German artist Ernst Igl (1920-2001) for Hillebrand of Cologne. The mirror holds four E14 lamps which emit the light evenly and accentuate the shape of the petals. The lighting system and the wire is used but in a good condition, approved to European standards. Works in the US. Date of manufacture is 15-01-1968 (see picture). Dimensions: diameter 18.7 in. (47,5) and diameter mirror glass 14.2 inches (36 cm). Beautiful condition, consistent with age and use. One very thin scratch to the metal (see last picture).
