Frame in silver 800/ooo embossed; the plate is applied to a wooden back using small nails; this is a working system that respects the ancient construction method of "Cartagloria" frames in use in Venice since the 17th century; the "Cartagloria" frames were placed on the altar and carried inside them some formulas and parts of the Missal that the priest recited during the religious service. Our frame was produced in 1970 by Bucintoro Argenti, a company founded in 1968 in Venice that has always distinguished itself by creating works of art in silver with traditional techniques of craftsmanship that make each object unique and valuable. The term "Bucintoro", takes its name from the state "galley" on which the Doges of Venice embarked every year on Ascension Day to celebrate the Venetian rite of marriage to the sea.
