Painter. He acquired his knowledge of fine arts at the free school of István Sz?nyi and Vilmos Aba Novák. Before embarking on an artistic career, he worked as a weaving factory and then as a railway track worker. He also worked as a room painter. From 1934-38 he belonged to the Group of Socialist Fine Artists. He painted at the Kecskemét artists' colony in the 1930s. After 1945 he worked as a drawing teacher in Csepel. He has been an exhibiting artist since 1935. In 1952 he received the Munkácsy Prize. He presented his solo exhibition at the Tamás Gallery in 1940 and 1943. He appeared in a group exhibition in the M?csarnok in 1947 and in the Hungarian National Gallery in 1964.
