Unique Dutch modernism “Toonladder” coat rack designed by Tjerk Reijenga, manufactured for Pilastro in the Netherlands, circa 1950. It is made from high quality black lacquered metal and colored metal. On top it has a yellow perforated metal coat rack, making this piece an extra rare find. It has colored hooks, resembling the shape of music notes. Hence the name of the design: “Toonladder” (music scale). It is an iconic piece of Dutch design, highly wanted world wide. It’s beautiful modernist style together with the high quality craftmanship make this item a great addition to any modern interior. In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
