Pleasant and graceful pair of poufs in black lacquered oak wood; on the structure there are delicate and beautiful carved floral decorations; the small and elegant legs are saber shaped. We unearthed and purchased them in an old store in Bourges in Berry, a historic province of France, where they were made between 1920 and 1922. The wooden frame has been left in its original condition, while we have reupholstered them with a sturdy black velvet and for the upper cushions the choice fell on the sophisticated Janneret fabric, velvet with a unique pattern of geometric cut and interlocking lines of the Designer Guild Company; the entire work has been done by hand with skill and precision by an old master craftsman of Prato (Italy), we want to remember that the city of Prato is considered the largest textile center in the world, its craftsmen and companies, highly specialized, are a reference point for creativity, quality and excellence; Designer Guild is an international company with headquarters in London and stores around the world; Designers Guild collections offer a range of luxury furnishing fabrics with great decorative impact; the cushions can also be removed from the poufs as they are fastened with Velcro strips (see photo). Two old objects that have been brought back to life with skill and expertise to give any room style and aesthetic personality. Measures: width cm.47, depth cm.47 height cm.41, seat cm.41.
