1940s four-door floating cabinet / buffet attributed to Paolo Buffa, originally customized on three brass legs, the ones on the sides giving to the design an aerodynamic line. A refined piece in two-tone palisander, the front decorated with a lighter burl veneered square pattern framed in a darker tone. The quality of the execution is combined with inventiveness and the refined and rustic elegance of Italian design. Dimensions of body only: 20.6 in H x 78.5 in W x 17.75 in D Paolo Buffa designed for illustrious clients, including the Royal Palace of King of Albania (1940), the Royal Yacht Mahroussa of King Farouk of Egypt (1951-52) and some interiors of the cruise liner Leonardo Da Vinci (1950’s).
