Panel in polychrome tile for the facing of an Altar, early 17th century. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, according to the various symbols. During the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries the cladding of the altar fronts was made of silk from India, which was replaced by tiled wood panels that followed the motifs of silk, velvet and other fabrics.
