Antique Mora Clock Swedish 1800s White Hand Painted Roses

£2.950,00

Antique Swedish mora clock from early 1800s in lovely white finish with polychromatic hand painted roses and flower detailing dated 1829 and carved roses detailing on the hood decoration and a wide belly body and a good roman numeral face. Measures: 198 cm. It has the classic extended belly of a traditional Swedish mora clock with detail on the body section and detailed pedestal carving. The clock body has the usual wood movement and distressing found in clocks of this age. The clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£250) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£350). These don’t come about often so here is your chance to get a really special mora clock. please note - wood is a live substance and may change shape when it moves to a new environment with a different median temperature and humidity after shipping. This may cause splits to occur in panels after the clock has grown accustomed to its new home There will be 18-21 days prep time prior to shipping on this item
