Interesting and particular vase in white ceramic craquelé; the vase is decorated with a refined and elegant Deco geometric design executed by hand; the handles with a harmonious and pleasant shape together with other decorations of the vase, are finished with pure gold paint; the vase also presents the craquelé technique. The craquelure in painting is the dense network of cracks that forms on the surface of the paintings. It is often used to determine the age of a painting and thus discover any fakes. The decoration industry, towards the end of the 18th century, when the tendency was to furnish with objects of strong appeal to the ancient, invented the craquelé aging technique to propose it in the realization of the most varied objects and various materials such as ceramic and glass. This valuable and rare craquelé vase is a Belgian production of the Art Deco period and as can be deduced from the mark on the bottom, was produced by the laboratories of Auguste Mouzin & Cie in Wasmuel (Belgium) between 1930 and 1933, has the typical characteristics of this important factory that is the white ceramic colored with soft colors, enriched with pure gold and with a very original and unique shape. The dynamism of its design and the freshness of its colors make this object particularly interesting and fascinating. The vase is in good condition, but the body has very small holes in the surface in the shape of a point, but it is not a defect, but an effect that normally occurs in the Craft during cooking at 1200°. Measures: Width cm 22, height cm 22.
