We kindly suggest that you read the whole description, as with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. Valuable flower vase with an original wavy glass shape; it was blown from the molten glass mass that came out of the kiln, in one seamless piece, then shaped into waves with skill by skilled Master Glassmakers; when the vase was still hot, a craftsman, with dexterity and speed, adhered a piece of dark amber-colored glass to the base of the vase and then pulled and stretched its ends along the walls of the vase, creating an original and unique decoration. Having achieved the desired shape, he did a quick annealing in the kiln to evenly amalgamate all the material, then the piece was placed in the tempering kiln where it cooled for many hours with skillful slowness and patience to avoid glass stresses; then, completely free of heat, it was taken to the milling department where expert artisans proceeded to smoothing, finishing and finally polishing; a work of art created with magical mastery and unparalleled skill by a great master craftsman in a magical, fascinating and artistic place: an artisanal kiln in Murano. The vase has a sticker label bearing the Marchio "Vetro Artistico Murano," this is a mark of origin that certifies glass products made on the island of Murano, created to protect one of the most famous symbols of Made in Italy and guarantee the fruit of a thousand-year-old tradition. The Veneto Region, with this trademark established and regulated by Veneto Region Law No. 70 of Dec. 23, 1994, guarantees consumers the security of having purchased a product made on the island of Murano, according to the traditional techniques of the Murano Master Glassmakers. Only companies licensed with the "Vetro Artistico di Murano" trademark can use and affix the stamp to any glass part of the object, certifying its origin unequivocally. The mark represents a typical working tool, the "borsella," as it is used to create a glass dish. The Mark can be red or blue depending on the type of workmanship of the purchased product. The "borsella" and the words "Vetro Artistico® Murano" are printed in gold leaf. The seal is anti-counterfeit-that is, immovable and non-reusable on pain of breaking the seal-and bears the identification code of the manufacturing company. The mark on our vase bears the number of the company that is a member of the consortium, and No. 036 corresponds to the company "Artigianato Muranese," which made the vase between 1995 and 1998 in its furnace in Murano. The firm was founded in 1967, but only in the 1980s, with the help of young masters and entrepreneurs, did it develop, expanding the range of products, but leaving the ancient Murano working technique unchanged. All items are strictly handmade by exceptional master glassmakers such as Sergio Costantini and Enrico Camozzo. The making of this vase confirms to us that the Venetian aptitude, celebrated over the centuries, for glassmaking, is an alchemical combination of liquid matter worked out by artisan intelligences with happy artistic intuitions. The vase is in good condition. Measures width cm.33, depth cm.25, height cm.33 For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (custom-made wooden crates, polystyrene, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
