European Art Nouveau Wrought Hand Forged Rust Iron Snake Sculpture Centerpiece
€3.000,00
An European Art Nouveau masterfully forged iron sculpture in the shape of a snake coiled on a tree trunk is a wonderful and original decorative element, a conversation artwork piece, an unusual antique animal sculpture that shows incredible details and workmanship of great artisan quality. Even the naturalistic element of the tree trunk that branches off its roots to forms the sculpture's base is extremely realistic.
This eye-catching animal sculpture could be dated circa late 19th-early 20th century by Art Deco period and it was probably hand forged in Italy or France.
The charm of this whismical decorative object is completed by a slight rusted aged patina.
Its great scale and quite large size allows it to be displayed as a centerpiece or used as a one of a kind book. One can also think to transform this centrepiece into a lamp, perhaps with a pagoda-shaped lampshade that hangs from the forked tongue of the snake, the tongue is long enough to intercept also a pocket-watch.
This piece would be a unique addition to your home decor or collection however you use it!
