Sculptured Female Head made in excellent style of Expressionism (Wiener Werkstaette), designed by Vally Wieselthier (1895 - 1945). Made circa 1928. Material: Red earthenware, multicoloured painted and glazed (= colored via on-glaze paints). - It is a sculptured female head attached to round flat base having appearance of a scarf / shawl. Inclined headgear (= head covering / headwear) existing. PLEASE NOTE: There had been made only three sculptured heads based on this model in year 1928 - therefore this item is VERY RARE ! (BIBLIOGRAPHY: Exhibition Catalogue Expressive Keramik der Wiener Werkstätte 1917 - 30 (= Expressionist Ceramics of Wiener Werkstaette), published by Bayerischer Vereinsbank, Munich 1992, Catalogue Number 83 on page 108 and page XVIII) .
