Silver and ebony mass wein holder, jug
Wonderful marked french piece, with Minerva mark from midle of 19th century.
The body of the jug is total silver with an elegant pliers made of ebony.
This is a Cardeilhac silver(1804-1951).
The company was founded in 1804 by Antoine-Vital Cardeilhac, who specialised in silver tableware and cutlery in a fine Rococo style.
In 1951 Christofle buys the company after over a century of prosperity.
