We kindly suggest that you read the whole description, as with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. Elegant and fine pair of cachepots made of fine French porcelain " Porcelain de Paris"; the shape is extremely pleasant and functional; they have a truly unique and exceptional floral decoration; on the black-colored surface have been hand-painted beautiful and graceful flowers with real and vivid colors aesthetically well distributed; the skillful miniature painter has executed them with meticulous detail and careful care, it almost seems as if you can catch and taste their fragrance, he has created two small works of art; the border has a thick decoration in pure gold; on the base are applied four conspicuously shaped legs richly decorated with pure gold. The painted flowers are Osteospermum Eklonis also called Dimorphoteca Pluvialis or simply African Daisy, magnificent garden plants native to Africa but long since widespread in the world's finest gardens (see photo). They were created by Master Craftsmen in the style of Napoleon III in a porcelain workshop in the suburbs of Paris (France) between 1880 and 1890 respecting ancient traditions and the raw material (kaolin). The cachepots are rare because the artisans of "Porcelain de Paris" hardly used black porcelain, preferring white, but these objects followed the fashion of those years in color. "Porcelain de Paris" is a term that refers collectively to the various porcelain decoration workshops and studios in and around Paris, France. It is not the name of any single company or manufacturer and is usually applied to beautifully crafted objects produced in the mid to late nineteenth century. The manufacturers are in some cases anonymous and generally unknown or have created only a few rare pieces. Antique porcelain objects from Paris are the most desired by collectors and can be found in many museums around the world. The cachepots are in excellent condition. Measurements diameter cm.19, height cm.19. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
