A signed silver plate tureen centrepiece by the famous French Art Deco jewellery maker and designer Jean Despres (1889 - 1980). The lid and body are done in the hammered style with double rows of beading , an important JD design feature , both at the base of the lid grip and the rim of the bowl.The signature is incised on the underside of the base.
