Three-Part Table Set: Centerpiece and Pair of Candelabras Silver Plated Germany 1915
€8.800,00
Silver plated pair of candelabras and centerpiece, made by German manufactory, made circa 1915-1920
Specifications:
Each of the candelabras consists of a colourless glass ball (glass sphere) which is cut in a very special manner (= so-said 'Steindlschliff' in German). The tapering stalk having a broad round and tiered foot at its ending holds a fluted / grooved ring to which six cup-shaped grommets are attached. Finally, the seventh grommet tops the glass sphere. The stalk's surface is decorated with stylized ornaments of leaves in relief. The centerpiece is perfectly matching both candelabras since its stalk with the attached nice glass bowl decorated with cut ornaments is manufactured in same manner / style. A particular feature is the fact that the centerpiece is ornamented with sculptured lion's heads wearing wreaths attached to their mouths.
