Tiger etching by Herbert Dicksee, the Destroyers. A very strong black and white wildlife picture of a pair of tigers crouching on some rocks overlooking the open grassland below. The powerful etching is by Herbert Thomas Dicksee signed and dated 1904 and published September 1st 1904 by Frost & Reed. This magnificently grand, rare masterpiece of early 20th century printmaking executed by one of the most famous of the animals'—especially wild cats—artist. An exceptionally large and richly inked black and white impression very strong and extremely detailed image with generous margins laid upon a conservator’s support sheet. The original sheet has a few spots and slight wrinkles in the margin otherwise it is in very good condition considering the age and huge size of the print. The etching is mounted to a backboard but unframed. The extra informations printed around the image state as follow: - Lettered on plate below the image borderline under the signature (left): “Etched by H.
