1946s Rare Lounge Chair by Groep & for Goed Wonen, Netherlands
€2.900,00
A very rare chair, model A-20, designed by Groep & for Goed Wonen in the Netherlands in 1946.
This hard to find piece was the first post-war design by Goed Wonen. It is designed in typical Dutch minimalism, combaining straight clean shapes in a very appealing way. This chair is a clear image of what Goed Wonen’s standards for quality furniture were: a straight forward design and solid construction. The open connections between the back and front of the base are an eye-catching detail.
It is newly upholstered with the highest quality Keymer fabric, type “Rocks”. The green colour of the fabric and the warm brown colour of the birch wood compliment eachother beautifully and create a nice harmonious style.
The chair remains in excellent original condition, preserving a beautiful patina.
