A very large Chinese Ninxgia early 20th century carpet rug featuring a dragon dragons soaring above mountains and waves, surrounded by clouds and many Buddhist motifs and symbols.Usually conceived as a wrap around for columns of tibethan temples. Size 148 x 490 cm we have one other similar carpet available ,that continues the design of the dragon ,as they were used to wrap the columns. you can see in the pictures of the two carpets how they can be placed together making two different fascinating combinations
