€55.000,00

Pierre Jeanneret (1896–1967), Swiss architect and designer, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva before joining his cousin Le Corbusier (1887-1967) in 1925. Together, they completed many major projects, including the Villa Savoye in Poissy, France. In the 1950s, Jeanneret played a key role in the urban design of Chandigarh, India, where he also designed furniture for administrative and university buildings. His creations, both functional and aesthetic, still reflect today a balance between simplicity, durability, and formal elegance. This set, designed for the administrative and university buildings of Chandigarh in the 1960s, features a solid teak desk and a cane-back armchair, exemplifying Jeanneret’s functionalist modernist approach.
