A colonial Amsterdam School dressing table, manufactured in the former Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia, around 1920.
This eye-catching piece is made of high quality wood in a nice warm brown colour. The centre of the piece holds a tall mirror in a nicely detailed frame. The cabinets on the side each have a single door and a drawer on the top. In the centre a long mirror in a scalloped frame, flanked by two cabinets, each with a single door and a drawer on top. The tops are made of black wood which also comes back in the details and handles. A fantastic find with a truly unique style, made with an exceptional eye for detail!
It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
