SOLD
This iconic round chair has been designed in 1949 by famed Danish designer Hans Wegner and known universally as The Chair. This model was made famous in the US when the chair was used during the Nixon / Kennedy debate and is perhaps the most well known piece of Scandinavian Modern furniture. It is manufactured by Johannes Hansen Denmark, Model No JH501. This one is in excellent vintage condition and has its original finish and cane seat and on the underside the original brandmarks, burned in manufacturer's logo and stamps Johannes Hansen Copenhagen Denmark. Please have a look at the pictures so you will find only a few minor cane issues.
