Particular pair of glossy black lacquered mahogany nightstands; the two nightstands have a comfortable drawer and a wide space underneath with doors; the knobs are in the same color; both front and back legs are "cabriole" that is a design shaped in two curves, the upper one convex and the lower one concave; a shape known by the ancient Chinese and Greeks, back in fashion in Europe at the end of the 17th century, when it was incorporated into the more curvilinear styles introduced in England, France and Holland; with this type of legs the design becomes very pleasant, well-proportioned and elegant; the beautiful and compact black lacquering makes them very personal and suitable for both modern and antique environments; for their size, they can be used individually or in pairs even as small chests of drawers. Produced between 1905-1909 during the reign of Edward VII in Cardiff, capital of Wales; The Edwardian era is also known as the Belle Époque because although short, it created a unique style in architecture, furnishings, fashion, and daily life. Measures: width cm.74, depth cm.52, height cm.78.
