An eye-catching chaise longue, model “LC4”, designed by Le Corbusier and manufactured by Cassina in Italy around 1980.
The piece has a rectangular black metal base, with chrome plated metal rounded structure that holds the black leather upholstered seat. The round frame can move over the base, making it a versatile piece that can be put in many different lounge positions. It also has a matching black leather pillow / headrest attached to the seat. The leather belt connections are a fantastic finishing touch! The unique design of this piece make it very appealing and definitely an eye-catcher in any decor!
Signature, manufacturer and serial number are all carved into the frame (as shown in photos). The original label is still attached.
It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
