A lovely set of two lounge chairs, model “Van Speyk”, designed by Rob Eckhardt and manufactured in very small amount by Pastoe in the Netherlands in 1984.
The chairs have black lacuqered tubular metal bases in nice geometric shapes. These shapes are brought back in the design of the seat, that has several panels in trapezium and triangle shapes. The chairs have recently been upholstered in beautiful red and black fabric. The contrast between these colours really emphasizes the design and makes this unique and eye-catching set that truly compliments the decor.
The set remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
