Inside and out, this piano demonstrates the highest level of craftsmanship. It is handmade by ToneArt, who holds the exclusive worldwide license to all instruments designed by Poul Henningsen. Customized Finishes Hand-selected materials and finishes give this unique PH Grand Piano a very special aesthetic. Inside the piano one sees the working parts of the piano. The cast iron frame has been finished in matte black, with black felts. The contrasting oak soundboard lends a beautiful tone to the instrument. The piano has a beautiful walnut case. All of metal detailing, done by our artisan metalworkers, has been done in a special oxidized treatment of the solid brass. Its beautiful color and burnished appearance is a finish called Antique Brass. Of all the beautiful features on this piano, It is the keys that stand out most. In a style reminiscent of the early keyboard instruments of the 1600 and 1700s, the colors of the keys are reversed: the front keys are all in black with the raised keys done in a lighter walnut. It is an exquisite instrument with a beautiful sound and gorgeous case.
