This is an eye-catching wooden coffee table designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara, manufactured by Laukaan Puu in Finland around 1950.
It is made of two different tones of wood. The base is a deep black lacuqered wood, while the pine wooden square top of the piece has a natural light brown colour.
