A beautiful and very rare coffee table designed by iconic designer Ettore Sottsass, manufactured by Poltronova, Italy in 1959.
The table is made of high quality black lacquered metal with a teak wooden slate top. In the top, the square black metal connections from the legs to the frame remain visible in the shape of a black metal square. This creates a unique touch and adds greatly to the decorative value of the piece. The teak wood has a warm light brown colour, combining very well with the deep black colour of the frame. It is crafted with an exceptional eye for detail, clearly a high-end piece of mid-century Italian design.
The table remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
