Regence period fireplace made in Rouge Royal marble carved with a shell

This Regence style fireplace was made in the 18th century in Rouge Royal marble. The molded top rests on a serpentine front carved with a foliated shell, endblocks carved with acanthus leaves. The jambs, slightly curved, are molded with cartouches. This fireplace is sold without any cast iron insert or marble floor, but they can be made to order (depending on the choice of the marble).
