Scandinavian art deco rug. 189 x 107 cm (74 x 42 in). A nice example of legendary Finnish functionalism (Funkkis) of 1st half of 20th century. Wall rug, design Koivu ja tähti (Birch and star) by Aksel Wilhelm Raitio, for Neovius. Ryijy (long pile/shag) technique, wool. Hand knotted in Finland, 2nd quarter of 20th century.
