Rare set of 6 antique Swedish flame golden birch Biedermeier dining chairs from C1870-1920 with the distinctive curved seat back, carved central motif and gracefully curved front legs. Very unusual in having inlaid marquetry designs in the chair backs with a delicious level of workmanship. The top grade flame veneers are brought to life by the sought after deeper honey color French polish finish and the seats are fully webbed. This makes them very comfortable to sit on over dinner. They will ship in the original fabric (which contains marks of use and lots of wear ) and you must fabric on arrival - we can reupholster if you provide the fabric for an extra cost and we will also repolish them for you prior to shipping. The images shown show the chairs before they are repolished so they will acquire a deeper lustre when fully repolished which may change the colour slightly. The images are taken in studio lighting and the colour is indicative only as the french polish finish will show slightly different colours depending on the lighting you set it in due to the reflective quality of the french polish. A set like this is difficult to find nowadays so we are very pleased to offer it to you.
