The sofa back is webbed and very comfortable. The sofa will be re-polished prior to shipping to remove any major flaws but we always leave some of the 'life' the sofa has acquired when we re-polish as otherwise it will lose its feeling. This takes 19-21 days prior to shipping The sofa ships in the original fabric which you may want to change as it has some marks of wear and tear or we can reupholster for you in your supplied top fabric for an extra cost The sofa back as with all Biedermeier sofas of this period is plain wood rather than veneer - we can reupholster it in hessian or your supplied fabric to cover the back prior to shipping leaving only a small amount of wood on show included in the reupholstery cost.
