September is one of the most exciting months of the year, marking a close to the long hot days of summer as the fall season ushers in happenings across the globe. From art festivals to design events, here are a few of our favorites at ArtOrigo. Mark your calendars!

What’s New What’s Next
New York Design Center
Thursday, September 12th

A day of showroom events, new product introductions and informative panel discussions, the 11th annual event What’s New What’s Next is a hot ticket. Join ArtOrigo and Cosulich Interiors for the panel discussion The Evolution of the Shopping Experience on the impact of technology and automation on retail and its effects on how we shop. Manhattan designers Kati Curtis of Kati Curtis Design, Harry Heismann of Harry Heissman Inc., Flagship co-founder Chris Ochoa and ArtOrigo’s President Gabor Ujvari will share their valuable insights with moderator and showroom owner Fabienne Cosulich (followed by an introduction of new high-tech resources). Whether you own an e-commerce site or one of the many who shop online, this will be an informative experience. The panel runs from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Berlin Art Week

Contemporary art is in the spotlight at the prestigious Berlin Art Week. The German capital celebrates a week of art through open studios and galleries, exhibition venues, museums, two art fairs, and private collections. For art aficionados of all things contemporary, this is pure heaven. 

 

Future of Home 
New York 
September 9th-10th
9:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Interior design and home industry professionals will want to attend the first-ever Future of Home Symposium, a two-day conference with top design and digital leaders on the challenges and changes affecting the industry. A who’s who of industry speakers include Benjamin Moore’s CEO Dan Culkins, Google/You Tube’s Corey Moran and Scalamandré President Chad Stark just to name a few and ArtOrigo serves as one of the sponsors.  Business at Home’s Editor-in-chief Kaitlin Pearson, contributor and former House Beautiful editor Sophie Donelson, managing editor Fred Nicolaus and podcast and columnist host Dennis Scully serve as moderators. Inspired Style: How Design Influences a Well-lived Life

The Pacific Design Center’s Fall Market 2019 features a day of showroom panels and activities centered around the concept of the power of design and life well-lived through travel, furnishings, fashion, art and books. Key A-list speakers and designers Natasha Baradan, Thomas Lavin, Estee Stanley and Interiors magazine Editor-in-chief Erika Heet will share their own personal journeys. Registration is free. 

 

Maison & Objet
Paris, France
September 6th – 10th

One of the most significant design events in the world, Maison & Objet is the ultimate experience on the international design scene. The lifestyle show is held twice a year (January and September) for professionals in the worlds of architecture, antiques, art, and design.  Viewing a diverse range of décor, home furnishings, accessories, textiles, and tableware from a variety of global markets will keep you busy for days. Paris Design Week (September 5th – 14th) also coincides with the show.
