1960s “Mother of Pearl” Floor Lamp by Rausch, Germany 1960

€4.500,00

A fantastic floor lamp, manufactured by Rausch in Germany around 1960. The eye-catching feature of this piece is the shade, made of “Mother of Pearl” (Capiz Shell): an organic composite material made of the same material that composes pearls. It gives the hood a unique, glass like appearance that beautifuly difusses the light when lit and adds a fantastic warm atmosphere to the interior! The chrome plated metal arm holds the base and shade. The Capiz shells are also used to cover the base, creating a beautiful harmony to the design and making this piece excel in luxury! It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
