Exceptional and rare Art Deco modernist Piano lamp, model No. 58. It was designed by Le Chevallier and produced by Koechlin. This articulated Piano lamp is believed to be a prototype exemplifying the technical and aesthetic innovation of its time. It is the only known adjustable model by the artist.
Materials: Aluminium and ebonite (hard rubber)
Features: Rotation pivot enabling a 45° tilt
Signature: Marked “DÉPOSÉ JLC R K”
Provenance: Private collection, held in the same family since 1935
Restoration: Functional restoration by Raphaël Armand, renowned specialist in 20th-century lighting, using period-correct components. Restoration certificate issued by the restorer.
Condition: Visible wear to rotating joints and back (ebonite/hard rubber)
