A fine Italian early 20th century giltwood rectangular swag mirror in Regency neoclassical style of narrow proportions and richly carved in a drapery style motif. The rectangular mirror plate surmounted by pierced carvings featuring scrolls, foliate details and rosettes the top is accented with a fleur-de-lis trophy. The gilded frame is embellished with bluebells flowers draping along the sides carved in deep relief. The carving work of this hanging wall mirror is superb with a gold painted wood frame in original patina. The mirror and its frame have some aging as to be expected, and just enough to make it interesting. Extremely decorative piece with good scale, great to be pleaced in a power room or in a corridor or above a chest. Measures: Height 115 cm, width 52 cm, depth 3 cm.
