Galerie Anna van Elteren
5 years agoGalerie Anna van Elteren installed impressive chandeliers in an Italian villa!
Recently we decorated a fabulous 16th century Italian villa with beautiful chandeliers from our collection.
For this project, we travelled personally to Italy to deliver and install these magnificent chandeliers. Each piece was packed extremely well for the long transport. We are very happy to see that these chandeliers found such a fabulous place!

5 years agoReopened MoMa in New York City
How often do you get to experience art in a new way? At the newly reopened MoMA in New York City, the museum experience has been turned upside down. The newly expanded galleries lend themselves to be more about taking you on a journey through time, providing a context to art and design history like no other museum has done before. MoMA is making a huge statement by rethinking how they share art. Each floor is designated by a block of time that allows the viewer to see so much more than most of us every had the opportunity to learn through our history classes. You get to experience a timely of evolution, culture, diversity, and techniques that you would not normally be able to experience in a typical curated endeavor. There were moments where I was completely overwhelmed by what first seemed to be clash of cultures and styles, but once I was able to settle into the experience and develop my own personal understanding of what MoMA was trying to accomplish, it became an educational experience like no other. As I worked my way from top to bottom, I first found myself meandering through space and time, discovering new artist and new appreciations. Never before could I have imagined a Francis Bacon Painting next to a painting by the American abstract artist Alma Thomas. It was powerful and profound. What MoMA has created is so well rounded that my mouth was open the entire time as I was able to contextualize art history like never before. If you find yourself in New York City this holiday season make sure that you put MoMA on your must-see list. The journey will expand your mind.
“The real value of this expansion is not more space, but space
that allows us to rethink the experience of art in the Museum”

The very careful construction of our Polypore with over 5500 hand pulled glass leaves.
The Polypore is a large lighting sculpture inspired by the morphological fruiting bodies (conks) of bracket fungi. Thousands of hand pulled glass leaves are woven onto the hand forged frame work in our North London workshops. The four organic shaped tiers are illuminated from within.
