Wientalbucht
€7.200,00
It seems the observer is standing on a beach looking at the sea during a approaching storm. Sky, waves and rocks, painted in countless shades of grey, blue, white and black. And inside some of the rocks you can see the subway trams of Vienna. The building in the background is called "Urania". It is a old observatory in the middle of Vienna and famous for cinema, theater and cultural events.
The term "photorealism" ist not able to describe the paintings of Elke Schönberger adequatly. Only on the first look the artworks seem to show a realistic view on landscapes and city scenes. But if you look closer you will notice the surrealistic and often associative power of Schönbergers paitnings. Incredible details, colors in a enormous range and a enormous effort in each and every work.
