A wonderful sofa / daybed, model “Minerva”, designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard and manufactured by France & Son in Denmark around 1950.
Made of high quality teak wood in a beautiful warm brown colour with elegant finish and gently tapered legs. The unique structure of the backrest gives a really nice appeal to this sofa, making it also very suitable to placed away from the wall in the center of the decor. The seat and back are upholstered in nice light brown leather. It adds comfort to the piece and a beautiful style! the leather has some color changes due to age, but in a way that it allows a beautiful vintage patina to this authentic piece. Not having armrests also allows this sofa to be used as a daybed.
It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
