Charming small rocking chair. Quaker model 428 by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol, England.
This rocking chair is based on the Ercol Quaker chair, a stylish development of the infamous Windsor chair. It features a solid elm seat and solid beech frames.
In general good condition, the chair was once black but has been brought back to its original unvarnished state and now has a beautiful patina. At the bottom of the seat is the mounting for a possible cushion (see images).
Considered to be a ladies rocker as it is smaller than full size, but still comfortable for adults (when they don't have the posture of Arnold Schwarzenegger).
Dimensions: height 33.8 in. (86 cm), width 24.0 in. (61 cm), depth 27.7 in. (70.5 cm) and a seat height of 14.6 inches (37 cm).
