Looking at this sculpture you will feel the sound of the ocean. Every parts of this colorful and powerful composition is incredibly well made. The open shell depicted in a palette made of browns, pink, yellow and green contains a big red coral, a sea horse is swimming near it while a crab is going up a branch of the coral and another crab is trying to get inside the shell. This is a very unusual polychrome piece hand made by a porcelain manufacture in South Italy inspired by the sea. It is definitely an item that cannot be seen very often.
