Maître Leherb , born on the 14. March 1933 in Vienna, died there on the 28. June 1997. Birth Name "Helmut Leherbauer" , was an austrian artist and exponent of the "Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus" (Vienna school for phantastic realism), that is close to Surrealism.
In this painting Leherb himself is looking at the viewer. And he is part of the time itself. But time is incomprehensible and therefore the course of time is illogical here. The complementary colors Blue and Yellow glow in high saturation and give the painting a three-dimensional effect.
