Design created by Otto Wagner (1841 - 1918) on behalf of Jacob & Josef Kohn Manufactory. Beech wood / mahogany stained / brass / seat covered with leather. This elegant settee - having been manufactured by Kohn only upon request - is a slight variant of Wagner's design: The backrests have wooden vertical struttings here whereas Wagner's design shows upholstered backrests and horizontal brass struttings attached to feet, but it is the same design and form type. The settee's feet are covered with brass mountings.
