Louis XV Style Dressing Table, 1880s
€7.100,00
This piece is reminiscent of Charles Bernel's designs, but has no attribution mark. It is noticeable by the irregularity of the curves of the wood and the bronze that hold the sconces and the mirror, which is all made by hand, including the beveling of the mirror and also the oval-shaped cut of it, in which the notches can be seen. cutting on the edge. It is kidney-shaped in the Louis XV style in wooden marquetry with two drawers and a mirror and bronze sconces that have been electrified with two independent switches. A non-aggressive restoration has been carried out with the aim of enhancing its attributes and original beauty but without damaging the traces of the passage of time on it, which make it more attractive and add value. The dressing table was found during the purchase of a Catalan farmhouse that was part of a group of farmhouses belonging to wealthy gentlemen in the Sierra del Montnegre natural park, in Tordera (Catalonia-Spain). The group of farmhouses was known as Hort Savinyà. For more information:
