18th c. gilt bronze large French chandelier, Louis XV period

An amazing & rare large gilt bronze French chandelier. Cage form; With 6 candle arms, 3 between arms with a poignard and 3 cage arms. On the cage arms there are below and above poignards.The cage arms are decorated with rosettes and stars. In the centre there is a vase and an extra poignard and above a facetted ball. The chandelier is reachly festooned with with stars, jasminds, facetted drops and pendants 'Cristal de Bohême’- some of the crystals has solarized (mangan). Above the cage there is Vase-d’enfilade from 3 decorative vases to cover the stam. The crown ‚Coroune’ with 12 arms, decorated with stars and crystals 'Crystal de Bohême’. Below the chandelier is a large champagne-coloured facetted bol. Place of origin- France Period- mid. 18th c.
