The Arts Inspire, Elevate and Sensitize.
When I was struck by the power of Durer's rhino, I immediately commissioned Pablo Simunovich to make a sculpture with the same subject. This is the first casting bronze figure of a huge patinated bronze rhino head. This fellow comes home with me but you can order one of this stunning contemporary art sculpture contacting me via ArtOrigo message center.

The beauty lies in the details
STRIPES!
A graphic statement that is as timeless as it is eye-catching. In fashion, stripes are used to create a powerful look with a distinctive presence.
Psychologists say that people who enjoy stripes are good at multitasking, have a lot going on in their lives, and wear many hats.
Stripes have never truly gone out of fashion in today’s society - they have the power to reshape a room depending on how they're used, and they add a crisp, polished element to space. We love stripes for their versatility: they mix beautifully with solids, florals, and other patterns.
Stripes can be elegant or wild, classic or modern. Vertical stripes create the illusion of height thus making ceilings appear higher, while Horizontal stripes are considered more playful: used in a variety of colors and widths, they bring a bold and fun statement

"Flowers are a universally recognized symbol of Affection"- Alex
A fresh bouquet of flowers in an eye-catching vessel has the power to elevate and fill your home decor with personality.
We visited Alex at Field Studies Flora to learn how to style different vases, her sustainable approach, and her professional tips on keeping flowers fresh for longer:
Don't have any leaves below the water
Recut stems each time you change the water
Cut flowers early in the morning
To revive droopy flowers, put stems in the boiling water for 30 seconds
Use flower food to keep water free of bacteria
"Floristry is like cooking - you are using form and texture instead of flavor to build a sculpture"

2 years agoMixed Geometric Shapes in Design
Throughout the month of April, we have explored what different geometric shapes represent and how to incorporate them into Interior Design:
Circles represent femininity and harmony
Squares and Rectangles stand for balance and efficiency
Spirals are expressions of creativity
Triangles feel energetic and encourage experiments
When mixing shapes, it is important to combine different scales: large-scale designs with smaller shapes for accents will create an edgy interior. Using lighter and darker shades of colors allows you to control the narrative and adds emotions.
A clever play of geometric shapes create a beautiful symphony for the eyes and the soul

2 years agoTriangles in Design
Triangles have strong energy and power, they are steady and can suggest self-discovery and revelation, associated with familiar architectural themes like pyramids, arrows and, pennants.
Spiritually, they represent a path towards enlightenment, direct vigor in which they point, and metaphysical connection.
In Design, triangles are energetic shapes, that look dramatic, feel interesting, innovative, fresh, and encourage experiments and creation. Their configuration uplifts any interior.
The strength of triangles conveys empowerment, progression, ambition, and purpose

2 years agoSpirals in Design
Spirals are whimsical and exude magic.
They embody the golden ratio, a common mathematical sequence found in nature, such as DNA, branching in trees, the flowering of an artichoke, fruit sprouts of a pineapple...
It is widely regarded and used by artists and designers to bring structure and harmony to their work, like Leonardo Da Vinci, Hokusai...
Spirals are expressions of creativity, they convey ideas of birth and expansion. They are patterns of time, life, and the seasons, as well as an archetypal shape in religious and mystical symbolism. Spirals move in either direction, returning to the same point on a life’s journey with new levels of understanding. They represent trust during change, the release of energy, maintaining flexibility through transformation

3 years agoRIP - Mr. Stephen Blair Levine
Dear Friends and Colleagues!
We lost a friend on March 17, 2021. Stephen himself was a creative force, a creative soul, and a giver.
Even though he had joined the artorigo team less than two years ago, it was as if we had known him for a thousand years. The world will be different without him for sure.
His signature at the end of each email was an iris-colored butterfly , because Stephen was a butterfly. He hovered colorfully and brightly above the ground and he was here and not quite. Rest In Peace Stephen Blair Levine! Your memory lives in us forever!
